Gingerbread Syrup (By: Babe Crafted)
Homemade Gingerbread Syrup
1 tbsp whole cloves
1 tbsp whole black pepper
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tbsp allspice
1 tbsp vanilla extract
2 cinnamon sticks
1 cup sugar
1 tsp ground ginger
2 tbsp malasses
Step 1. Grind the cloves and black pepper by hand in a mortar & pestle for approximately one minute.
Step 2. Heat a medium saucepan on medium to high. Combine these mixed ingredients, the other dry ingredients, and the molasses in a bowl. Mix throughly and then add to the saucepan. Allow the mixture to come to a boil and continue to stir.
Step 3. Allow the mixture to cool for 7 to 10 minutes before adding to a vessel with a lid. Brew a pot of your favorite coffee and add Gingerbread Syrup to taste. Garnish with a cinnamon stick. Enjoy!
Note: Store your Gingerbread Syrup in the fridge. This recipe will make approximately 2/3 of a cup, but one spoonful of syrup goes a long way, so you have plenty of tasty cuppas ahead of you,
