- 2 Cups Pitted dates
- 1 Cup Golden raisins
- 1 Cup Dried cranberries
- 1 Cup Dried apricots
- 1/4 tsp. Kosher/Sea salt
- 2 tsp. Vanilla extract
- 1 Cup Unsweetened cocoa powder
- Lakewood Apple Juice, as needed
Healthy Fruit “Candies”
We partnered with Lakewood Juices to sponsor Glazer Children’s Museum’s Whisk in Wednesdays. For the second week, we made healthy fruit “candies” and they were a hit! The kids got to try each ingredient separately and then all together in the candies. It was a great way for them to explore dried fruits.
Place all the ingredients except for the apple juice in a food processor fitted with a metal blade; pulse/process until the dried fruits are finely ground. With the processor still running, add a couple drops of apple juice at a time to make the mixture stick together.
Using a spatula, transfer mixture into a bowl. Using your hands, form small round balls. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
